Supervisor House speaks on the proposed Peralta park

Welcome to fall. It’s nice to see the temperatures drop below 100 degrees.

Many of you know Pinal County’s Open Space and Trails Department has been receiving public input on the proposed Peralta Regional Park. This is one of seven proposed parks in Pinal County’s Opens Space and Trails Master Plan.

Peralta Park is slated to be located just east of Peralta Road and north of U.S. 60. This proposed park will offer exceptional open space and outdoor recreation opportunity that could include hiking, equestrian riding, mountain biking, rock climbing, dark sky watching, picnicking and camping.

The proposed 480-acre regional park is totally surrounded by Arizona State Trust Land and in close proximity to the Superstition Wilderness Area and Peralta Trailhead. To read more about this proposed regional park-look up this link.

The public participation in the planning process has been outstanding. We had over 60 residents come out the first public meeting. They shared ideas, concerns and general appreciation at the idea of having another area to spend quality time.
