Apache Junction Parks and Recreation Golf League is accepting registration for its 13-week session that begins Nov. 3.

The league is available for both men and women. Scoring will help to establish the handicap each player will use to score his or her weekly play and earn points. League play takes place Tuesdays Nov. 3-Jan. 19 at Apache Creek Golf Course, 3401 S. Ironwood, at U.S. Highway 60, in Apache Junction. Players and groups schedule their own tee times each week for play starting at 12 p.m. and later by calling the golf course.

The registration fee is $5 per season. There is a weekly green fee of $35, which includes the $2 prize fund. Golfers do not need to play the entire season to participate; however, they need to golf a minimum of five weeks to qualify for the tournament and points.

Golfers who would like to play with a group but do not have one can e-mail ggartner@ajcity.net or call 480-474-5119 to be matched up with other players to form a group.

The more players golf the more points they can earn. The league concludes on Jan. 19 with a tournament and gift certificates for the pro shop based on points earned and winning contest holes. Lunch is provided.

Registration is being accepted through Dec. 22 in Apache Junction Parks and Recreation office, 1001 N. Idaho Road; online; or at the golf course from 11 a.m.-noon Nov. 3. Visit the website for league details and rules.
