Learn about local plants during Nov. 17 trail walk

Learn to spot the difference between a milkweed and a Mormon tea plant, or to harvest and process prickly pear cactus fruit to make juice. Walk the Curandero Trail Tuesday, Nov. 17, at Smiling Dog Landscapes with landscaping experts Tom and Kathy McDonald to learn information about the edible and medical properties of many native desert plants.

This free Curandero walk will take place 9-10:30 a.m. at Smiling Dog Landscapes, 10049 E. Cloudview Ave. in Gold Canyon.

The event is limited to 15 people.
