In keeping with the Daughters of the American Revolution National Day of Service, members of the Apache Trail Chapter NSDAR delivered 36 dozen cookies to the Apache Junction Police Department to thank them for their service to the community.

“We wanted to recognize the men and women of the department for their dedication and service to the community,” said Chapter Regent Audra Glines. “We just wanted to say, thank you.”
DAR members in chapters across the nation celebrated the 126th anniversary of the DAR by participating in the National Day of Service.

DAR is women’s service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history and securing America’s future by supporting education. Membership is open to any woman 18 years or older who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution. DAR volunteers provide assistance with exploration of genealogy.
