Winchester Road, 4th to 2nd avenue, to be closed for repaving

The City of Apache Junction will be repaving Winchester Road from Fourth Avenue to Second Avenue March 18-28.

Winchester will be closed from Old West Highway to Junction Street except to local and business traffic only off of Junction Avenue and Fourth Avenue, according to a release.

The work will include the closure of second and fourth avenues at Winchester. Work and the road closures are scheduled for 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Thursday. No closures are planned for the weekends, according to the release.

A detour will be maintained around the work areas. It can be expected the work will disrupt driveways for short periods as the construction progresses. The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather.
