UPDATE: Body found yesterday, ruled accidental death

Yesterday at 8:33 a.m. Sept. 2,  a call was made to Apache Junction Police Department reporting the body of a male was found in the median of Apache Trail and Ocotillo. Officers were dispatched to the location where they confirmed the male was deceased.

According to a press release sent by police spokeswoman Serene Carney, after the initial investigation, it appears the death is a result of a bike accident. There is no foul play is suspected. The deceased is a 60 year old male. No other details have been released at this time because his family has not yet been notified.

The investigation is still ongoing.
