Public hearing on city of Apache Junction’s budget set for June 15

The Apache Junction City Council will discuss the city’s proposed budget for fiscal year 2015-16 during a public hearing scheduled for Monday, June 15, in the city council chambers at 300 E. Superstition Blvd. It will take place during a special meeting that will begin at 7 p.m., according to a press release.

The proposed budget is available for public inspection at the City Clerk’s office in the administration building at the city hall complex at 300 E. Superstition Blvd. Office hours are 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Thursday excluding holidays and on the city website at

The proposed budget also may be viewed at the Apache Junction Public Library, 1177 N. Idaho Road, The hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, excluding holidays.

The city encourages its citizens to provide written and/or oral comments and to ask questions regarding the proposed budget and to attend the public hearing.
