‘Pink’ dance party to draw awareness to breast cancer

Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Fitness Staff at the Apache Junction Multi-Generational Center, are hosting a Pretty in Pink Dance Party 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

All ages are welcome to participate in this free event. The center is at 1035 N. Idaho Road in Apache Junction.

Zumba instructors will be on hand to keep attendees moving to the music. There will be prizes for all and a raffle for those who donate to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, according to a press release. Attendees will receive an extra raffle ticket for bringing a friend and/or wearing a pink dance outfit.

There is no fee to attend the Pretty in Pink Dance Party, however, donations are encouraged. One-hundred percent of the donations will be collected and forwarded by The Friends of Apache Junction to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
