Domestic violence suspect arrested by Apache Junction police

Jonathan Dadd

Jonathan Dadd, 30, was booked into Pinal County Jail on the charges of assault/domestic violence, unlawful imprisonment and prohibited possessor of a firearm, Apache Junction police said.

Apache Junction Police Department officers responded to a 911 call March 23 at a residence in the 1200 block of South Ironwood Drive. When patrol officers arrived they encountered a woman who was being held against her will, police said.

“The woman communicated to officers though a window that she was in fear for life. The officers forced entry and were able rescue the woman and move her to safety,” AJPD Cpl. Marshall Harshman said in the release.

“The suspect, Jonathan Dadd, 30, barricaded himself in a bedroom of the house. The Apache Junction Police Department Special Weapons and Tactics team responded to the residence and Dadd was taken into custody and transported to the Pinal County Jail,” he said.

AJPD reminds the public that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
