City to hold public hearing on proposed use tax

The Apache Junction City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, Nov. 17, on proposed Ordinance No. 1420 adopting a use tax for the city of Apache Junction as authorized by the Model City Tax Code.

If the proposed Ordinance No. 1420 is passed, a city use tax rate of 2.5 percent will be effective Jan. 1, 2016, according to a press release. This meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the Apache Junction City Council Chambers, 300 E. Superstition Blvd.

In  accordance  with  Arizona  Revised  Statutes  §9-499.15(B)(2), the public notice was posted Sept. 16.
