Members of the Senior Rodders Car Club on April 9 dropped by the Apache Junction branch of The Salvation Army to present a $1,000 donation to the organization that assists people in need in the far east Valley. Joining Major Angie Medina of the Salvation Army, third from left, and Apache Junction Mayor John Insalaco, second from left, were, from left, Jim Chandler, Larry Greer, Joe Lorden and Fred Beck. The Senior Rodders Car Club meets at 9 a.m. each Wednesday at the Mirage sports grill. Members park their cars in the Apache Junction Chamber of Commerce parking lot at 567 W. Apache Trail for the public to view.

The Apache Junction Independent is mailed each month to 35,000 homes.
