Nothing makes Pinal County Supervisor Todd House happier than to see growth and improvements for Gold Canyon. He met with Bashas’ Store Director Keith Pierce to express his appreciation and see for himself how the remodel was progressing. And what he discovered was an almost completely remodeled, spanking clean new store at 5310 S. Superstition Mountain Drive in Gold Canyon.

MountainBrook residents and people who shop at the Gold Canyon store will be so pleased when they return and experience its new and improved areas. There will be a total upgrade of the snack and soup bar deli area. Restrooms are being remodeled as well.

Bashas’ has expanded its products in the meat and fish departments, bakery, deli, natural foods and almost very area of the store. The store will still be carrying our old favorites.

With the new floor plan and designs you will see and be introduced to many new products and products that were there before but you may not have noticed. Like, all the pre-packaged “ready to go,” salads, sandwiches, cheese and deli meats. Look for product location changes too. You will now find the ice in the freezers by the west-side entrance.
Bashas will also introduce a new Gold Canyon business — the Starbucks that will be by the east side entrance. It will offer its signature coffee drinks, treats and sandwiches that you can take along on your shopping experience.

I know many of our residents have mastered the self-checkout, but for those who still find it a bit intimidating, they will find instructions near the registers and there is always a friendly store attendant nearby to help.

Bashas’ is a true community supporter. Each year it is a sponsor of the annual Fire Prevention Festival. It will take place this year at 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 4. The store also supports Gold Canyon Lions, Gold Canyon Arts Council and much more.

Don’t forget the first Wednesday of each month is senior day. Those 55 and over will receive an additional 10 percent savings.

Check out the new and improved Gold Canyon Bashas’.
