Apache Junction man found guilty of child molestation

On March 23, Robert Carol Stone, 74, of Apache Junction was sentenced to 34 years in prison after being convicted Feb. 25 on two charges of child molestation, according to a press release.

According to the release, he will serve the 17 years for each charge concurrently.

The Apache Junction Police Department arrested Mr. Stone on Aug. 8, 2013, according to the release.
Police Detective S. Jeansonne led the investigation.

At the time of his arrest, Mr. Stone was on the Sex Offender Registration for a prior molestation of three juvenile females in 1989, according to the release.
