Animal care center to close temporarily for cleaning

The Apache Junction Animal Control, Paws and Claws Care Center will be closed to the public for spring cleaning and building repairs Monday, April 20, through  Friday April 24, according to a press release.

It will reopen to the public during its regular business hours from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting Saturday, April 25.

While the center will not be answering calls, staff members will regularly check and reply to any messages.

Two alternate locations will accept surrendered or found animals while the local care center is closed. They are: Pinal County Animal Control, 1150 S. Eleven Mile Corner in Casa Grande, and Maricopa County Animal Care and Control, 301 W. Jefferson St. in Phoenix.
