The AJ Mounted Rangers donated $1,250 to Apache Junction 4H – Country Kickers on April 6.

According to a press release, the money will go for feed, supplies, buckles and ribbons plus entry fees and tack for various events including the The Pinal County Fair held in Casa Grande.

A volunteer peace-keeping organization supporting children, the AJ Mounted Rangers also provides safety efforts at community events.

Members participate in parades, memorial services and rodeos while on horseback, quad runners or foot patrol.

The nonprofit charitable organization is said to promote Old West traditions in addition to offering assistance ranging from emergency food to educational needs.

The Apache Junction Independent is mailed each month to 35,000 homes.
