A new dinner and show entertainment option opened Nov. 3 at the Gold Canyon Golf Resort, 6100 S. Kings Road in Gold Canyon.

Presented by singer/musicians George Staerkel and Mark Lucas, the Rhythm Cats Show Band is performing on selected evenings through April.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The meal is served at 6:15 p.m., and show time is 7:30 p.m.
Tickets for the show are $35 for adults and $27 for children ages 3-10. Children ages 2 and under are admitted free. Tickets include the show — which on opening night lasted about two hours — plus dinner and a soft beverage. A different menu is offered for each show.

The Rhythm Cats are a group of multi-talented musicians, singers and comics. It is led by Mr. Staerkel, the group’s musical director and producer, who plays more than 100 instruments; and Mr. Lucas, a guitarist, comedian and country specialist. The group also features Steve Weitz on guitar and horns and as a Willie Nelson impersonator; Chris Kennison on steel guitar and utility strings; Jeff Stephens on guitar, bass, keyboard and vocals; and Rick Snodgrass on drums.

Music genres range from a variety of content to themed nights that include rock ‘n’ roll and country classics.
