Mountain climber to speak at Rotary luncheon

Haley Ercanbrack, a 32-year-old mountain climber from Scottsdale, will be the guest speaker at the Dec. 9 meeting of the Rotary Club of Superstition Mountain.

Ms. Ercanbrack will discuss her plans to climb the Seven Summits. She has spent years training on mountains all over the world. In 2012, she embarked on her first expedition to the Himalayas. Her goal is to climb the highest peak on each continent in a year’s time, which would be a women’s world record, according to a press release.

The public is invited to attend the luncheon, which will take place 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Gold Canyon Golf Resort, 6100 S. Kings Ranch Road in Gold Canyon.

The cost of the luncheon for non-Rotary members is $12.

Space is limited to 120 people.

To reserve a spot, call Rotarian Walter “Harvey” Clark at 480-646-1567 or e-mail him at harvey.clarksuperrotary@gmail.com.
