Apache Junction Unified School District Governing Board members honored employees and students of the month at the Nov. 10  board meeting at the district office, 1575 West Southern Ave. in Apache Junction.

“I’m here tonight to talk about this amazing staff that I have been hired to work with. I am honored to serve as principal at Peralta Trail. While there are many who deserve awards and recognition at our school, I have three people that I would like to recognize tonight. All three are shining examples of what I hope that we all strive to be. Some of the characteristics that they share include kindness, dedication, and generosity. These three individuals come each day with a positive attitude, an easy smile, and they treat everyone—students, staff, family, and community members —with respect. They put the needs of others ahead of their own and persevere through challenges and difficulties. These three individuals are people who demonstrate a willingness to exercise servant leadership, take initiative, and accept additional responsibilities for the good of both our campus and our community,” said Principal Natalie Clement in a press release.

The Apache Junction Independent is mailed each month to 35,000 homes.
