Job expo taking place Sept. 16 in Apache Junction

Central Arizona College’s seventh annual Job Expo will take place from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at the institution’s Superstition Mountain Campus, 805 S. Idaho Road in Apache Junction.

Community members, alumni, current college student and high school seniors are encouraged to attend.

A sampling of the businesses that will be at the expo include Arizona Department of Corrections, Carrington College, Covenant Home, Florence Police Department, Higley Unified School District, Pinal County Federal Credit Union and Social Security Administration. Businesses are being added daily.

“If you are looking to obtain full-time, part-time or summer employment, or are looking to transition into a new career field, this is a great place to start,” stated Ann Mitchell, coordinator of student employment at the college. “Job seekers should dress in business attire and bring multiple copies of their resume.”

For more information, contact Ms. Mitchell by calling 520-494-5428 or by e-mailing her at

Editor’s note: An earlier listing of the job fair published in the Apache Junction/Gold Canyon Independent incorrectly stated the job fair would take place on a Saturday. The Independent apologizes for any confusion this may have caused.

The Apache Junction Independent is mailed each month to 35,000 homes.
