East Valley woman of the year nomination deadline is Dec. 15

Positive Paths, a nonprofit organization focused on providing women with self-sustainability through job training and education, is seeking nominations of persons who have contributed to helping women in the east Valley for its 2016 Man and Woman of the Year awards.

Nominations will be accepted through Dec. 15. They should include examples of the nominee’s contributions to helping east Valley women through outstanding leadership and vision; significant volunteerism to a cause; or other criteria as set forth on the nomination form.

The award winners for Man and Woman of the Year will be honored at the organization’s annual East Valley Night of Heroes event to be held on May 3.

Recent recipients include: Tim Bricker, CEO East Valley Dignity Health; Harry Mitchell, former congressman and Tempe mayor; Trinity Donovan, Chandler Christian Community; and Dr. Maria Hesse, vice provost for academic partnerships at Arizona State University.
