The Apache Junction Parks and Recreation department will be hosting its monthly free movie in the park event on Saturday, April 13.

Bring a blanket and your friends and family for an evening outside watching a family movie. The free event will be held at Flatiron Community Park, 100 N. Apache Trail.

The April movie features the family film, “Peter Rabbit.” Peter Rabbit and his three sisters enjoy spending their days in Mr. McGregor’s vegetable garden. When one of McGregor’s relatives suddenly moves in, he’s less than thrilled to discover a family of rabbits in his new home. A battle of wills soon breaks out as the new owner hatches scheme after scheme to get rid of Peter — a resourceful rabbit who proves to be a worthy and wily opponent, according to a release.

Pura Vida Grinds and Healthy Mason Jar will be selling on-site and there will be parks and rec games and coloring pages for kids, all starting at 6:15 p.m. “Peter Rabbit” will start at 7:15 p.m.
