Water safety instructors needed in Apache Junction

Water safety instructors are needed for Apache Junction Parks and Recreation programs. (City of Apache Junction)

Looking for a fun part-time summer job? Do you like working with kids? Do you like swimming? The City of Apache Junction Parks and Recreation Department is looking for energetic staff members to teach swim lessons this summer.

All water safety instructors must hold a current certification in order to be hired by the city. For those who will be 16 by May 2, water safety instructor certification classes will be offered 8 a.m.-5 p.m. April 20 and 5-9 p.m. April 22, 23, 25, 29, 30 and May 2. Register at ajcity.net/onlinereg or in person at the Apache Junction Multi-generational Center, 1035 N. Idaho Road in Apache Junction.

Human resources is accepting applications for both lifeguards and water safety Instructors for the 2019 season. Job applications can be filled out online even before receiving a certification. Note in the “training” section of the application that you are currently enrolled in class. All job and volunteer applications can be found online under the “jobs/volunteer” tab on the city website at ajcity.net.
