Business association starting 15th year in Gold Canyon

The Gold Canyon Business Association is about to embark on its 15th year serving Gold Canyon and surrounding areas. We are a group of small business owners who work together to promote local first. It just makes sense for a community to support local business and service providers.

As we approach our 2015 membership drive, which begins on Tuesday, Oct. 28, we would like the community at large to know the advantages the Gold Canyon Business Association has to offer small business owners as well as those who support the community.

For a mere $60 a year a business member receives the following benefits:

•Membership certificate to prominently display at your place of business .

•Opportunities to present information regarding your business to the membership.

•Opportunities for networking with members.

•Opportunities for continuing education regarding business promotion, local growth information and marketplace changes.

•Ribbon cutting ceremony with representatives of the GCBA board of directors.

•Inclusion in the GCBA website business directory at

•Three different ways for potential customers to locate your business : Alphabetical, categorical and hyperlink

•Advertising your promotions on our Events & Promotions page.

• Business highlight article in the local press.

•Access to the membership database.

•Inclusion in the Gold Canyon Community Connections, a print version of a business directory.

Funds generated from the annual membership fee go to promotion and education. The GCBA gives back to the community by supporting local families during the holidays.

We hold business meetings as well as Mixers every other month except in June and December. All of our meetings are open to the public. We wish to extend an open invitation to anyone interested in Gold Canyon to join us at any of these functions. Announcements about the monthly meetings are on the website and reminders are sent via email. Retirees from the business world are welcome to become a guest speaker to our members.
