We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended our open house last weekend. We had a very large showing of support both from our community and our sponsors.

Ever since this endeavor became a reality to assist our military veterans and their families here in Apache Junction and surrounding area, we have been met with nothing but total support and a willingness to help. This powerful support started with Apache Junction City Councilman Dave Waldron, Mayor John Insalaco and the council in full. We have had super support and backing from local businesses, agencies, 55-plus living communities, such as Dolce Vita Veterans Group and Weaver’s Needle, to mention just a couple.

Our veterans community, VFW Post No. 7968 and its auxiliary, VVA, AmVets, DAV, Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter No. 2560 and the American Legion Post No. 27 Riders are unparalleled in their total reinforcement of our new veterans center, through their donations and volunteers with countless hours.

Lastly, without their foresight and the assistance of Desert Chapel Untied Methodist Church to find a way to donate the rooms and space for our center, it wouldn’t have ever left the planning stage and made a reality.

As we have mentioned, there are many many individuals and organizations involved in our new Apache Junction Community Veterans Center and to all of those a super size topnotch thank you, and to all we may have missed, a first-rate, A-one thank you.
